Our client recently moved into her new home in leafy Markham Village.
The property needed a lot of work. Years of neglect with no outdoor maintenance created a situation where everything had to be demolished and rebuilt. Our client had a design but we did a redesign to make it actually work for her property.

The property needed a lot of work. Years of neglect with no outdoor maintenance created a situation where everything had to be demolished and rebuilt. Our client had a design but we did a redesign to make it actually work for her property.
Composite Decking Built To Last
So many elements were overlooked in the original design. The property has 100% tree cover from majestic Maple and Walnut trees creating planting challenges from the shade.
Instead of a patio, we opted for a composite deck. Falling walnuts would have destroyed a patio over time, and the yard needed an elevated structure to solve underlying drainage issues.

To accommodate the heavy tree canopy, we chose a primarily native, shade-focused plant palette and added lighting to bring the space to life as dusk sets in early.

Maximizing Driveway Space
The front yard project finished with an expanded driveway, new steps and a flagstone porch with a conservative planting plan.
When completed the project had amazing flow and easy access from all entry points to the backyard. This was a wonderful project to be involved with. Our client was incredibly appreciative to the level of detail and care that went into the project.
